Académie Fratellini
académie fratelliniInaugurated in 2003 at La Plaine Saint Denis, the Fratellini Academy is a unique place in Europe, totally dedicated to circus arts. Directed by Antoine Manceau since February 2009, the activities of Fratellini Academy are structured around three big axes:
The Circus Arts CFA (Apprenticeship training centre) Unique in France, this upper grade circus arts education is based directly on the realities of the sector. All along his training journey the apprentice multiplies professional experiences in very diverse environments, in situ or out of walls, facilitating his professional insertion in the sector he chooses. A training linked to the Fratellini Academy activities Aiming for quality and excellence, the Fratellini Academy welcomes in residence reference artists and companies who nourish the regular yearly program and at the same time intervene with the apprentices in the CFA. The stakes and issues of circus writing today and more largely of new forms of live shows are placed in the centre of projects. The Academy is therefore trans disciplinary and associates with artists and theatre companies, dance, plastic arts, multimedia, music… A place totally dedicated to the circus arts education The Fratellini Academy has works spaces (3 studios, 1 dance room) and show spaces (a small circus tent of 250 seats and a big circus building of 1600 seats) The pedagogy Under the impulse of Antoine Manceau and Valérie Fratellini, a new pedagogical program has been elaborated for the 2009-2010 academy year. The teaching is structured around 7 training modules. (3 training modules / 3 professional switching time modules / 1 health module). The supervision of each axis is led by a reference professional teacher, assuring the content, the follow-up and the pedagogical aims. The training is opened to news skills in the logic of share of competences with reference establishments of the country: musical training in partnership with The “Conservatoire de musique de Pantin”, economy and management in partnership with Paris 13 Villetaneuse University, singing, acting,… |
