What we do

The Final Conference of the INTENTS Project was held on 20 April 2017 in Madrid, within the frame of the 8th Internal Conference of FEDEC. The Teatro Circo Price hosted the event, which brought together about 120 participants on the theme: "Documenting arts pedagogy and practices: crossed reviews on methodologies and good practices".


Representatives from the National Libraries of Spain and France (Bibliothèque Nationale de France and Biblioteca Nacional de España) came to present their respective projects for the preservation and dissemination of historical resources concerning the circus beyond the library, thanks to digital technologies.

The public also discovered an online platform for discussion and resource sharing for contemporary dance teachers, IDOCDE - International Documentation of Contemporary Dance Education (http://www.idocde.net), a new form of virtual interaction, imagined and designed by and for contemporary dance teachers. The stages of development of the platform and its great successes were mentioned, as well as the improvements that have been made.


Lastly, the CEREP and ICQP researchers associated to the project outlined the main points of the completed study on the competences of circus arts teachers in vocational schools, conducted within the framework of INTENTS and which resulted in the elaboration of a European competence reference system for circus arts teachers to be published soon, SAVOIRS01. Carles Domènech and Silvia Borrell from the ICQP (Catalan institute of professional qualifications) accompanied by Florence Legendre and Vincent Grosstephan from CEREP (Center for studies and research on occupations and professionalisation) presented their approach to defining circus arts teachers’ competences for SAVOIRS01.


Agathe Dumont, associate author, spoke about her work in documenting teaching practices and formalizing knowledge for the educational manuals that led to the writing of 3 manuals (Verticality, weight and gravity / From technical movement to artistic gesture) and the last of which is (Support and alignment: in search of balance) and her collaboration with the Pedagogical coordinators and the members of the INTENTS committee.
