What we do

Since 2014, the FEDEC has been partner of the European Youth Event which is organised jointly every other year by the European Parliament and the European Youth Forum. For 2 days, thousands of young people aged between 16 and 30 from all the Member States, candidate countries and neighbouring countries, meet at the seat of the European Parliament in Strasbourg to take part in over 150 thrilling activities.

Debates, think-tanks and workshops created by young people for young people, not to mention the YO!Fest organised by the European Youth Forum, invite youth organisations to take part in exchanging ideas on European youth issues, devising innovative solutions to major challenges and meeting decision-makers to consider together a more inclusive and participatory Europe. The EYE is also an opportunity to showcase the diversity and vitality of young European artists with concerts, dance shows, plays and circus performances.

By participating in this event, circus arts students have the chance to have their say regarding the European political agenda on youth and active citizenship and to share their passion and talent as future contemporary circus artists. It is also the opportunity to meet students from other schools, benefit from a rewarding intercultural experience and to perform under professional conditions in front of a large audience.

As a European network which is active in the field of youth education, the FEDEC partners this event to advocate a greater contribution from young people to European policies and greater autonomy and inclusion in society. CIRCEYE is a true platform for expression, an event of educational, artistic and civic importance.
