What we do

The REFLECT project foresees two meetings of circus arts teachers: the REFLECT Labs. Each lab will allow more than 20 teachers from across Europe and beyond to meet and discuss current and innovative teaching practices over a period of 4 days.

The REFLECT Lab # 1 will focus on "the role of the circus arts teacher in the creative process: around the individual project" and will take place from Monday 12th to Friday 16th March 2018. It will be hosted by the Scuola di Circo Flic in Turin (Italy).

The Lab will bring together nearly 30 people in total. A call for participation will be sent to the FEDEC schools who will be able to suggest teachers’ applications from all disciplines.

The theme proposed for this first peer-to-peer exchange / laboratory, focuses on a reflection around the role of the teacher in the support of the student’s individual project creation. Thus, the goal will be for the participants to debate, to share their points of view, their reflections, their experiences on different aspects of the support to an individual project in a professional circus school. With the speakers’ and the participants’ presentations or contributions, which will bring an idea, a concept or their experience in this pedagogical practice, the goal is to allow participants to learn through peer-to-peer exchange.

The activity is open to teachers and guest teachers from the FEDEC member schools, upon application (please check with the school direction).
