The Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) is a centralized action.

Any higher education institution wishing to be a beneficiary of European funding for the Erasmus + programme MUST have validated this charter. Institutions obtaining the charter in 2018 will be eligible for grant applications submitted as of 2019.

Applications for the Charter must be submitted directly to EACEA.
Applications are in an online form ("web-form").

To be able to complete it, the organization must have a PIC (Participant Identification Code), the UNIQUE identifier of the candidate entity. If a PIC has already been created, it MUST be reused.

If the applicant organization does not have one, it will have to create one on the portal of the participating organizations (URF).

It is advisable to keep a copy of the application form submitted on a computer support.
