The REFLECT LAB#4 took place in Auch (France) hosted by the CIRCa festival from the 20th until the 25th of October 2019.
During the Lab, participants discussed about the collective creation process of professionals, guided by Catherine Boot of Circomedia as pedagogical coordinator.
The Lab programme gave time and space to the participants to take part in as much events and performances of the CIRCa festival as possible. The aim was to let the participants explore the festival and later use their observations and reflections to nourish the discussion with their peers.
All along the week participants had the chance to meet and discuss about collective creation with several professional circus companies such as Circus I Love You, Compagnie XY, Collectif Sous le Manteu and Circo Zoé and to watch their performances. In particular, the Lab allowed participants to attend all together to the "Born to be circus" performance by Circo Zoé.
In the end, on the evening of Thursday 24th, FEDEC and FFEC held in collaboration with CIRCa the official closing event of the REFLECT project.
A special thanks for this splendid experience goes to:
- the CIRCa Festival, and especially to Mathieu Hedde for his attentive cooperation and to the director of the festival, Marc Fouilland.
- Catherine Boot for the pedagogical coordination. Furthermore, Birgit Haberkamp could not be present at the Lab but gave a fondamental contribution to its preparation.
- All participants and their sending schools for being active contributors to the success of the Lab.
Now the REFLECT project enters in its final run: reporting and dissemination of results!
