Circusschulen in Österreich aims at developing projects to teach circus performance skills and establish educational facilities for circus arts.
Its general objective is to foster the teaching of circus performance skills and in particular the training of young people, as well as adult continuing education in order to establish circus arts as an art form.
In order to achieve this goal, it works with primary and secondary schools, teachers’ academies and associations for sports training for children and adults.
It works at a regional, national and international level to build projects and organise activities that include training camps, festivals, conferences and performances.
It seeks to establish standards for the training and continuing professional development of circus arts teachers, taking into consideration their pedagogical and artistic skills.
Developing a pilot-project to operate a circus school, offering a 3-year training course.
