The Second European Vocational Skills Week will take place from 20 to 24 November 2017, with the aim of improving the attractiveness and image of vocational education and training. Before and during the main week, activities and events organized by the European Commission will be rolled out across Europe, in order to showcase excellence and quality and raise awareness of the wide range of opportunities in vocational education and training (VET). These events/activities will also take place in Brussels (press conference, conference, workshops, etc.).
However, the DG Employment, Social Affairs & Inclusion of the European Commission invites all of its stakeholders of the VET community across Europe to organise their own events/activities and register them on the webpage dedicated to the Vocational Skills Week . No funding will be available for these events but, once they have been quality-checked, they will be displayed on a Europe-wide map together with details of the event/activity, providing them cross-European visibility and publicity.
The stated goal for the 2017 European Vocational Skills Week is to reach 1500 events/activities taking place all over Europe before the end of the year. 101 activities have already been registered!
A map of the registered activities with descriptions is available throught the following link: http://ec.europa.eu/social/main.jsp?langId=en&catId=1261
