Encounters at circa

From 27th October to 3rd November, 2012, the European Federation of Professional Circus Schools hold for the sixth time its Encounters on the occasion of the Circa festival in Auch, France

FEDEC Encounters at Circa means almost 300 people from about fifteen different countries gathered to contribute to the international dimension of this festival, a hub for contemporary circus creation. Together they will form an ephemeral “European Circus Arts School”.

The 6th Encounters will present a rich programme alterning 10 member schools presentations with various meetings of the network, in addition to all the events, circus shows and professionals meetings organised by the festival Circa.

2012 Focus groups Meetings

Focus groups will meet again and continue their work. This will contribute to the development and evolution of pedagogy and creation in the field of circus arts education.

Directors' workshop - MAILLONS

The 2nd part of the Skills Enhancement Workshop for schools directors on "Developing an artistic and educational project", will be held during the Encounters in Auch.
The first part of this Workshop took place in Berlin during FEDEC last Internal Conference in April.

CIRCLE presentations

10 FEDEC schools are invited to present work composed by their students that were developed in the context of research workshops.

In the framework of CIRCLE, up and coming circus artists will perform short shows of 20 to 30 minutes, reflecting the working atmosphere of their schools.

Meeting with Circostrada

The FEDEC and Circostrada networks will meet in in Auch so that the two networks can find out about each other's circus artist education and training programmes and the different organisations disseminating, producing, employing the artists or hosting them in residencies.
