The European Federation of Professional Circus Schools held its second Internal Conference from 27th April to 1st May 2011. It took place in Châlons en Champagne, France.

The second Internal Conference took place in sunny Châlons-en-Champagne and brought together around 40 FEDEC members from 14 different countries.

Hosted by Centre National des Arts du Cirque in the framework of its 25th anniversary “Cirque à l’oeuvre”, the Internal Conference allowed those present to take part in the various events organised for this occasion: professional encounters – round tables, performances, exhibitions…

Working Programme for 2011:

Focus Groups meetings provided an arena to work on the following subjects:

Group n°2: Teachers' requirements in terms of continuing training, conception of modules and pedagogical tools.

Group n°3: Skills development for educational and artistic directors of schools and training centres and planning of workshops on key topics.

Group n°4: Circle: innovative opportunities to promote the work of and enhance the employability of graduates.

Group n°5: Students’ mobility: analysis of mobility practices and their importance in circus arts education, in terms of skills acquisition and employability.



 

In order to deepen the reflection on focus groups nb 2 and 5, FEDEC welcomes submission of any information/material related to these topics. Please contact the FEDEC staff for more detailed information .

MAILLONS 01: First Skills Development Workshop for Educational and Artistic Directors

Led by Marc Lévêque, this first workshop on “Ethics and Deontology”, intended for educational and artistic directors, was a big success with the 20 participants.
