Circus arts trainer or Psychomotricity teacher

École de Cirque de Bruxelles (BEL)

Job opportunity

As part of our weekly circus arts workshops at Tour & Taxis (3 rue Picard, 1000 Brussels), we are looking for a Circus arts trainer or Psychomotricity teacher, 3 hours a week from September 16 to June 15, 2024:

  • Saturday morning "Parents-Bambins" (9h15-10h45)
  • "Psychomot (2nd mat) on Saturday mornings (11am-12.15pm)

Saturday morning "Parents-Bambins" (9h15-10h45)

First approaches to the world of psychomotor development, movement and play before entering the world of the circus proper. The emphasis is on the parent-child relationship. Through fun and relationships, children develop motor skills, imagination and communication skills. Nothing is taught, everything is based on the exchange of play experiences.

The group is made up of a maximum of 10 children, each accompanied by a parent. The children are born in 2021-22.

Saturday morning "Psychomot" (2nd mat) (11 a.m.-12.15 p.m.)

Psychomotricity enables children to discover their bodies in a space where they can experiment with actions such as jumping, rolling, balancing, transforming themselves, playing... and where they can explore different circus techniques. Our approach is both playful and creative. We also aim to foster self-confidence and autonomy, while allowing children to develop at their own pace and in complete freedom.

Through psychomotricity, children are made aware of the pleasure of movement and the search for their own solutions, in a space that offers adapted equipment and is conducive to discovery and learning. The trainer adapts and stimulates the child to learn on his or her own, at his or her own pace.

The group is made up of a maximum of 14 children, accompanied by an assistant.
