CALL FOR APPLICATIONS - BIAC

The call for applications for the Circus Creation Project Presentations of the International Biennale of Circus Arts (BIAC) is now open!

The National Circus Centre ARCHAOS and ARTCENA are jointly organising this event for meetings and exchanges between professionals and artists, focusing on artistic projects in the process of creation, which will be presented in a 360° format.In this edition, Mais Imaginarius will select up to 20 projects, which will be in competition, presenting themselves during the festival, between May 23th and 25th, 2025

This presentation of creation projects will take place on Friday, 24 January 2025, from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm at the Departmental Archives of Bouches-du-Rhône in Marseille and will be followed by a friendly reception.

It is part of the International Biennale of Circus Arts (BIAC), running from 9 January to 9 February 2025.

You have until 14 October 2024 at 11:59 pm to submit your application!

This call for projects is open to:

• Professional companies in the field of contemporary circus, whether based in France or internationally;
• Artistic projects that offer a scenography allowing the audience to be seated in a 360° configuration, with or without a tent;
• Shows scheduled to be created between January 2026 and June 2028;
• Companies that will be accompanied on the day of their project presentation by a mentor or sponsor.
