Call for participation

Each year, the Pedagogical Training Program at Ecole de Cirque de Bruxelles (BEL) auditions candidates who possess excellent pedagogical and physical qualities to become the circus trainers of tomorrow!

What does it consist of?

The Pedagogical Training Program at École de Cirque de Bruxelles (BEL) is an international network of over 420 trainers. It also boasts a 100% employment rate post-training: today, 87% of their alumni work in the circus field, 43% have created their own organization, 13% apply circus arts in other sectors (education, social, medical...), and 3% have become professional circus artists.

With an intensive training program combining practice and theory, as well as individual and collective stage and pedagogical work, Ecole de Cirque de Bruxelles (BEL) offers a leading and unique training in Europe, serving circus arts and pedagogy since 1990. As circus is above all a human experience, this success relies heavily on the participants. It's their passion and ongoing contributions that make the Pedagogical Training Program a true vector of positive change.

How can you take part ?

Application conditions:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Have a passion for circus and teaching.
  • Get along with the 6-12 years old target audience.
  • If you are graduated with an Pedagogical diploma or have an equivalent experience, that is an advantage.

Selection Criteria:

  • Motivation & project quality
  • Physical and corporal capacities
  • Technical skills and creativity across the different circus disciplines
  • Interest and abilities in Pedagogy 
  • Behavior and place in a group

Application process:

  • To apply, send your CV, cover letter, and a copy of your ID to fp@ecbru.be.
  • Please, register by email at least 3 weeks in advance (by mid-June).
  • Auditions will take place on 5th & 6th July 2025 and last for 2 days.
  • Selected candidates will undergo training from September 2025 to June 2026 (1300 hours).
