The General Assembly is composed of all our members. It is responsible for structuring and validating decisions related to FEDEC's activity such as:
All of our members are invited to vote (1 vote per member) at our 2 General Assemblies:
the Ordinary General Assembly in April, during the FEDEC Spring Talks hosted by a different member each year,
the Extraordinary General Assembly in October in Auch (FRA), during the FEDEC Encounters at Circa.
The Managing Board meets 4 times a year (January, April, September & October) to debate, reflect, discuss, and decide on FEDEC’s main directions. It is also a real support for the team.
The Managing Board is composed of a maximum of 12 representatives, directors of circus schools which are full FEDEC members. Each member of the Managing Board is elected for 3 years, and their mandate can be renewed twice. The Board also appoints the Executive Committee, comprising a President, a Vice-President, a Secretary and a Treasurer.

The working groups make it possible to work in smaller groups and in greater depth, before having decisions validated by the entire Board. They are created over time, according to the latest needs of the network.
Each group is composed of at least 1 member of the team and 1 member of the Managing Board. These groups are set up on a voluntary basis and the work meetings are virtual.
There are 6 working groups:
For all decisions relating to the CIRCLE and TRACES projects.
For presenting the applicants’ organisations to the network, members willing to be part of the Managing Board, and developing the network.
For reflecting on how to create safer working & learning environment, for better equity and integrity.
For the enhancement of our international community of riggers and the reinforcement of safety and rigging policies in the circus world.
For supporting students’ transition from education to professional life and strengthening their employability within the circus sector and the wider creative industries.
For developing a video-based format through which each member school can present its distinctive educational approach, artistic identity, and learning environment.
If you are looking for us, you will find us in Brussels, the European capital. But you might also meet us here or there in the world since we travel several times a year for the purposes of network activities.
We listen to our members’ needs, coordinate FEDEC projects and publications, organise the events that make up network life, and we represent it alongside the Managing Board.
