CIRC’EYE

A project dedicated to circus and European youth

CIRC’EYE is a one-week residential workshop for students from European schools under the big top at Graine de Cirque in Strasbourg. At the end of this creative week, they perform their show during the European Youth Event (EYE) at the European Parliament, a major political event attracting thousands of young people from all over Europe.

This artistic and educational exchange project has been run by FEDEC since 2014, in partnership with the Graine de Cirque leisure school and the European Parliament.

An incredible artistic and human experience

CIRC’EYE offers artists a very rewarding experience through:

  • meeting students from other schools and interacting artistically with them,

  • an enriching intercultural experience that can lead to permanent collaborations (as in 2021 with the show Transhumance),

  • exchanging and passing on knowledge with young students from leisure schools,

  • performing a show under professional conditions in front of a large audience,

  • meeting a young audience of newcomers, sharing their passion and the visibility given to circus arts.

An educational, artistic and civic event

For a European network active in the field of youth education like FEDEC, this event is an opportunity to raise our sector’s profile and to involve our students in a gathering where European citizenship lies at the heart of the debates. CIRC’EYE is a real platform for expression, an event of educational, artistic and civic significance.

How can you take part in CIRC’EYE?

If you are a FEDEC member, you will receive a call for participation by email for the next edition.
