FEDEC Spring Talks 2026

Thank you for joining us at Rīgas Cirks on 15-17 April 2026 for the FEDEC Spring Talks in partnership with the 3rd Riga International Conference on Circus Education!

Bringing together more than 50 participants from nearly 20 countries - including many first-time attendees - this edition fostered a strong sense of community and offered rich opportunities to exchange, reflect, and connect across disciplines.

The programme combined the FEDEC General Assembly, roundtables, workshops, performances, and guided visits, sparking engaging discussions on:

• alternative training paths and evolving educational models,
• career development and transitions into professional life,
• self-management and artistic trajectories,
• mental health, through the Take Care project.

Participants also had the chance to explore Rīgas Cirks’ spaces and projects, and to experience Riga’s dynamic cultural landscape.

Key outcomes

• Board elections: Adeline Avenel (CRAC de Lomme, FRA) was re-elected, and we welcomed Will Cleary (SKH Circus, SWE), Peggy Donck (CNAC, FRA), and Sarah Simili (Axé Cirque, CHE) to the Board. 
• 5 new members joined FEDEC, contributing fresh perspectives and further strengthening the community!
