MOTA

Motorik-Tanz-Artistik 2014

Preparatory school

The association Motorik –Tanz – Artistik, or “MOTA” for short, was officially founded in 2014 and originated from the first Christmas workshop “Juggling and Acrobatics” held in 2011 with eleven participants at the elementary school of the Franciscan Sisters in the city of Salzburg.

MOTA is an invitation to all people who love movement and are curious. Our programs are designed for children and teenagers, as well as adults. Circus arts are a key focus of our organization. The medium of circus arts supports the development of our senses, reduces stress, and improves concentration and perception. It allows children, teenagers, and adults to express their imagination and creativity, as well as gain confidence and trust in their own abilities.

MOTA awakens a joy of movement and the discovery of one's own potential. For those who enjoy showcasing what they've learned, there are opportunities to participate in events and stage performances. All of this has a special quality. Everyone finds their niche, can develop their skills individually, and at the same time, self-confidence and team spirit are strengthened.

"MOTA... and it's all about movement: elemental, holistic, circus-like, creative."

MOTA is committed to:

  • Supporting and encouraging children, young people, and adults in developing their skills and competencies,
  • Training children, young people, and young adults in various circus disciplines,
  • To bring the students to a level that allows them the opportunity to be admitted to international circus schools (Prep.+ Superior),
  • Cooperation with the "Contemporary Circus Association in Austria",
  • Promoting young circus talent in Austria,
  • Networking and exchange at the national and international level,
  • Network and platform for circus artists and enthusiasts,
  • Connecting art and movement.
