In My Shoes

Shadow a peer!

2026

In My Shoes offers 2 FEDEC members the opportunity to shadow a peer in another organisation. The goal? To learn through observation, to exchange and reflect on practices, to take a step back from your daily environment and gain insight into different ways of working within our field.

We offer 2 mobility grants of up to €550 each (reimbursement upon proof of expenses for accommodation, travel, and meals). Any additional costs must be covered by the participant or their organisation.

Conditions

The visit to a peer must:

  • Take place at any FEDEC member organisation, full or partner ðŸŒŽ (see the list of all FEDEC members here).
  • Last a minimum of 3 days – there is no maximum duration.
  • Happen before 31 October 2026 (Tip💡 : You may combine this mobility with another FEDEC event to optimise your travel. Plan strategically!)
  • Reciprocity is not mandatory.

Who can apply?

  • All FEDEC members (full and partner members).
  • 1 person per member organisation.
  • Anyone within the organisation, regardless of their role except students (management, administration, teaching / technical staff, communication, etc.).
  • Please note: the first 2 eligible applications received will be awarded the grants.
  • In My Shoes: a project tested in 2025

In 2025, a successful In My Shoes pilot was carried out among FEDEC Board members. A representative from INAC (PRT) visited Codarts (NLD) and another visit is currently being rescheduled between CREAT (ESP) and Esacto'Lido (FRA).

This test phase confirmed the strong value of informal peer-to-peer exchange within our network and we are now delighted to extend this opportunity to the wider membership!

Interested? Apply now!

  1. Complete the application form below👇  (1 application per person/organisation). You will be asked to indicate your 2 preferred host organisations and your preferred dates.
  2. If you are among the first 2 eligible applicants, you will receive confirmation from us. We will then contact your preferred host organisation for approval.
  3. Once confirmed, we will connect you to arrange the practical details. You should then book your travel and send us the receipts for reimbursement.
  4. The host will be responsible for establishing the program of the stay. The arrangements (in particular, the choice of people to shadow or interact with) can be discussed and mutually agreed upon by both parties.
  5. After the visit, both you and the host organisation will be asked to complete a feedback form to gather your experience and improve the project.
