We're Amoukanama, a Belgo-Guinean company with several artistic and social projects in Guinea (and Europe) and we're looking for collaborations!

We are Amoukanama, a Belgian-Guinean company with several artistic and social projects in Guinea (and Europe). We work with young people from Conakry through the circus. We are in the process of building a circus school in Guinea to have our own space to support all this talent. You can find more about us on our website or via our Facebook page.

In 2019, we initiated an artistic project thanks to the support of Europe (Frame, Voice Report). Together with the director, Anthony Weiss, we worked for several years to be able to realize this project. Summer 2022, we managed to release a first version for public space of around 35 minutes. It was great to be able to experience this together as a group and to tour Europe.

We also continued to create the theatre version of the project (80 min) which toured the Flemish Cultural Centers in autumn 2023. This show will also continue to tour this year.

At the end of April 2024, a group of 8 acrobats will be coming from Guinea for the tour. Last year was a very intense year, including the creation period. This year we have a little more time to organize other activities. In our vision, we always want to stimulate exchange and encounter. For example, this year we launched the “Circus4Climate” project with the NGO Kiyo.

We are also looking for other circus schools interested in meeting with the team. This can be done for example in the form of workshops, classes, exchanges. Interested in this opportunity?
