As part of their performance week at Circa, the students participating in the 2025 edition of CIRCLE took part in 2 workshops on mental health, organised by FEDEC in collaboration with the Circa festival.
The students were divided into 2 parallel workshops:
These workshops were organised in the frame of the Take Care project, led by FEDEC and co-funded by the Creative Europe program of the European commission. Take Care is the first-ever EU project dedicated to supporting mental health and well-being in the circus arts sector.

In this 100% practical workshop, we discussed the ideal diet for high-level circus training, while immediately putting the recommendations into practice. No sticks, just carrots.
Krisje Beaumond has dedicated her career to the performing arts in the fields of production and sales management, working extensively on tours. In 2022, she expanded her expertise by becoming a naturopath, which led her to research naturopathic support for circus artists. This culminated in a thesis focused on enhancing their well-being. Today, as a practising naturopath and a member of the teaching staff in circus schools, she is committed to sharing tools and resources that help improve the lifestyle and health of artists while on tour.

This is the body that makes the score
Learning an articular auto-modelling of the whole body in less than 4 minutes
Positions, tips and tricks for stress-management
Discover and materialise the power of intention
From the human laying down to the human standing up towards the movement: With illustrations of circus artists’ drawings:
Only the human stands up,
But what does it mean to be standing up?
This vertical position is not only a relation to the space
It speaks about our relation to the world, to others.

We would like to extend our warmest thanks to all the workshop leaders and the IME Mathalin for their support and participation!
