Circus artistic residencies 2026-2027

Applications for the 2026–2027 residencies are now open!

Lézards Animés is a Nantes-based association founded in 1998. Its mission is to foster personal development for people of all ages and cultural backgrounds through creative and expressive activities.

A growing demand for circus arts activities in the Nantes area encouraged the creation of a dedicated space where everyone can practice circus arts (amateur and professional audiences, people with disabilities, children, and adults alike). This project stands at the crossroads of several ambitions: providing access to artistic practices, promoting popular education, respect for individuals and the environment, and contributing to local development.

This is how Chapidock – circus school – opened its doors in July 2012 on the Île de Nantes: a permanent venue dedicated to circus arts!

⚠️ Please note: there are no rigging points inside the yurt.

Conditions

• Use of the yurt is charged at €20/day + actual electricity costs + €10 membership fee per person.
• It is possible to waive the €20 rental fee by offering in exchange*: a 2-hour workshop on a Monday evening (for residencies lasting 2 to 3 days), or a 6-hour workshop (for residencies lasting 4 to 6 days).

*Subject to your proposal being relevant to our audience (teenagers / amateur adults).
