Join the development of an international contemporary circus & dance practice
Freifall is looking for a producer or project development collaborator to join the long-term development of an interdisciplinary artistic practice working between contemporary circus, dance and performance.
Founded by Austrian circus artist and choreographer Verena Schneider, Freifall develops performances, artistic research projects and collaborative formats that investigate the relationships between body, ecology, cultural heritage and contemporary society. Based in Vienna and working internationally between Austria and France, Freifall creates projects that move across disciplines while building long-term artistic collaborations and international networks.
The collaboration would begin in winter 2026/27.
This comes at an exciting moment in the development of the company. Verena is currently creating Holding on to everything I've got (S'accrocher à tout ce qui me tient), a finalist project of circusnext 2026. Combining hand balancing, object manipulation, choreographic research and live music, the work explores the relationships between body, land, inheritance and ecology. The premiere is planned for the 2027 season.
Alongside Holding, new artistic research projects and future creations are beginning to emerge. We are therefore looking for someone who is interested not only in supporting the production of current work from January 2027, but also in helping shape the long-term development of an evolving artistic practice and cultural association.
We currently collaborate with an external diffusion consultant and are now looking for a producer who would like to become an active part of the company's future development.

We are looking for someone who:
has experience in contemporary circus, dance or performing arts production
is interested in international project development and touring
enjoys combining strategic thinking with practical production work
values long-term collaboration and shared artistic development
works independently while enjoying close collaboration
is comfortable working remotely and open to occasional travel for residencies, meetings and touring
speaks fluent English and French, German is a plus
The collaboration will begin on a freelance basis with the intention of building a long-term working relationship.
During the initial phase, work will be remunerated at €35 per hour, with the workload and monthly budget agreed together according to the projects and available funding. The collaboration may gradually evolve into a broader production role with increasing responsibilities and a compensation model linked to touring, partnerships, funding opportunities and the long-term development of the company.
We are looking for someone who is interested in growing alongside the artistic work and becoming part of its future.
