All FEDEC members are invited to take part in La Nuit du Cirque and explore the ties between circus arts, mental health, and well-being!
La Nuit du Cirque is an international celebration of circus in all its forms, in France and around the world. Over the course of 3 days, performances, happenings, conferences, and special events are held simultaneously in venues worldwide.
Organised by Territoires de Cirque with the support of the French Ministère de la Culture, this unique event showcases the vitality and diversity of contemporary circus arts. FEDEC warmly encourages its members to join the celebration and be part of this international momentum.
Would you like to take part in La Nuit du Cirque ? This year, we invite our members to shape their programme around a special focus on mental health and well-being, in connection with our Take Care project. We warmly encourage you to explore this theme through your activities and artistic proposals, highlighting the importance of care, support, and balance within circus education and creation.
To support your participation, 4 short films exploring mental health in professional circus practice will be made available. They are produced by Filip Jacobson and Miikkael Kukkula within the framework of Take Care. They may be of interest to your students as well as to a wider audience, including sector professionals, partners, and local communities.
Engaging in this event will offer multiple benefits for you, your students, and your wider circus community:
