In 2026, the collaboration between FEDEC and Sziget Festival gave young artists from FEDEC member schools the opportunity to join the Midnight Circus Cabaret.
Up to five acts from FEDEC schools were selected and presented at The Joker, a Spiegel-style tent designed to host circus performances. The artists, students or recent graduates, presented solos, duos or trios lasting between 3 and 8 minutes. Each act was performed twice during the festival, as part of the cabaret programme starting at midnight.
For this edition, the artists performed in a unique setting: a 20-metre-diameter tent with an intimate and festive atmosphere.
Beyond the performances, the experience gave them the opportunity to discover the behind-the-scenes of a major international festival and meet artists and professionals from around the world.
Selected artists were provided with accommodation, meals, a festival pass and logistical support throughout their stay.

The highlight of this experience was coming to this festival feeling for the first time as an equal artist to the rest of the performers who were there.
I enjoyed the experience very much, I got to meet many other beautiful artists, and I felt very welcomed by the rest of the team, and artists performing with me.

Participating had an impact on my professional development, it made me reflect and wonder about the direction I want to develop as a performing artist.
